Philip Denton
Philip earned his BME at the University of Kansas where he studied with Simon Carrington, Paul Tucker, James Barnes, and many others. After college, Philip moved to Vancouver, WA where he took over direction of the choir program at Skyview High School. Over the past sixteen years, he has not only led the Skyview choir program to great heights of excellence, producing four concerts and a pop music revue show every year, but he also led the orchestra program for four years, and the theatre program for eight, completing 23 plays and musicals.
Philip is highly active in the Vancouver community working with other local choirs and orchestras to involve students in music education, as well as providing caroling and other musical performances for local community groups, nursing homes, and hospitals.
This summer, he will complete his Masters of Music Education Degree at Central Washington University.
