Carol McMahon-Young
Carol Young taught choral music in Oregon secondary schools for 40 years before retiring from teaching in 2018. Her first 15 years were with Oregon City School District, at Moss Junior High School, and at Oregon City High School. In 1993 she was hired to start a choral program at Jesuit High School, and she remained there for 25 years until retirement. During that time she also sang for many years with Oregon Repertory Singers, Choral Cross-Ties, and was Alto Soloist at First United Methodist Church in downtown Portland. Upon retiring from teaching, she was hired for the position of Executive Director of Music at First United Methodist where she continues to work at this time.
